Right before half term we were focused on filming the final piece, during that process of time we were also focused on finishing the coursework for this task now we'll get another session to finish and film the final piece. Most of the coursework is now up to date and everyone's trying to contribute equally.

Today we watched and went over a game show, this helped us see how a regular show is ran. We witnessed camera angles, music and how the hosts react to questions. At the start of the next week we'll start recording for the final piece, the last two to three weeks we've been planning and practising for the final piece.

The program idea of my choice and I believe that should be
used by my class members for this task is a studio based chat show about sports
mainly football because of my passion for that sport in particular. A rough
example of a show that already exists is Match of the day where they talk about
football, highlights of matches that happened throughout the week and football
players that left or joined a new football team, basically everything that’s
involving football in the UK’s Barclays Premiership and lower leagues of
football.
Some of the ideas I’ve thought about for this task was to
have roughly three presenters who talk about previous incidents and highlights,
also Leyton related sport incidents. After doing my research about the college
I found out that the sports team do really well in competitions therefore we
can apply a section in the chat show about how the college’s maintenance in
these competitions. The show could have clips of things that were highlights
around the world, for example Ronaldo winning ballon d'or which is an award
that shows he was the best player of 2013, things like that in my opinion will
keep the audience entertained. Some of the limitations of this idea is that a
lot of people in my class (group members) aren’t really into sports especially
football so what we can do is add something into the show of things that
happened not being sports related.
The layout of the
studio, should be like a house or something urban. The reason why is because we
want people to feel like they are at home when watching also to feel relaxed
and not so into the show because mistakes may take place, if mistakes do take
place when recording we can turn it into a comedy thing for a couple of minutes
to get around it then back to showing the real program. About 2 or 3 lights
should be enough to be exact because there will only be 3 hosts, if more lights
are used the final piece may look too bright and it wouldn’t be pleasant to
watch. Instead of having chairs a sofa would be better looking back to making
it look like the hosts are at home presenting the show.
